US Council Scholarships in New York

The Ireland-US Council recently held a luncheon meeting in New York to present its Annual Student Scholarships. The guest speaker at the event was Len O’Hagan, chairman of the Belfast Harbour Commissioners, who described the positive economic outlook for in his address. Council president Michael J Gibbons, presenting the scholarship awards at The River Club in Manhattan , said: "The council’s Scholarship Awards programme provides opportunities to student undergraduates from universities in the Republic and in to travel to the and to work temporarily in American corporations. It provides project-oriented, meaningful work assignments in US business corporations of all sizes that are directly linked to the academic disciplines which the undergraduates are pursuing in ."
