The most influential among Irish America’s business and community leaders lent their support to the American Ireland Fund’s 32nd Annual New York Gala . Over 1,500 people gathered on the 3rd of May 2007 in
New York to honour President Mary McAleese and the president and CEO of AIG, Martin Sullivan, and to award $1 million to legendary actor Paul Newman for Barretstown, his unique therapeutic programme for seriously ill children. The gala raised $4.15 million for important causes in Ireland, including two key projects that are part of the fund’s “Hope through Youth” programme. In addition to the $1 million donated to Barretstown, a significant amount was also given to
Rowallane
Integrated
